EDIT 6/13/2011: Not long after I posted this I tuned in to the Tonys, and much to my surprise the ceremony was being held at the Beacon. At the start of her acceptance speech, denim-jacketed Frances McDormand made the night's only reference to the Beacon's usual kind of show: "Last time I was here I saw Greg Allman, standing right over there...it was right after his liver transplant."
