1972 Ads: Villageast

1972 Voice ads for the Villageast, a.k.a. Village East, the successor to the Fillmore East.  Any similarity to Jeremiah VNY's post today on the Village East movie theater a few blocks uptown (previously the Yiddish Folks Theater, the Phoenix, the Gayety, the Eden, and the Entermedia) is purely coincidental!  I'm reminded of the time I first heard a reference to a rock venue called the Village East, when Bob Gruen mentioned the 12/23/72 Dolls/Teenage Lust/Magic Tramps show in the commentary of his All Dolled Up DVD.  At the time I wasn't sure what the immediate post-Fillmore East incarnations of the building were called, and was confused enough to wonder if he was referring to the former Yiddish Folks.
