1967 Ads: The Dom

Selected '67 Voice ads for the Dom. Quite a few ads were for strictly jazzbo or folkie acts. In the interest of brevity and of not getting way too obsessive about this stuff, I'll stick mainly to the more rock-oriented acts and events here.

2/2/67 issue.

2/9/67 issue, slightly different graphics.

2/23/67 issue: Nico with Tim Buckley, plus Warhol's The Most Beautiful Girl in the World.

2/23/67 issue: Nico with Tim Buckley.

3/9/67 issue: Nico with Jackson Browne. This one happened to be next to one of the paper's ubiquitous ads for the Fugs' residency at the Players Theatre, so I thought I'd include it.

3/9/67 issue: Nico with Jackson Browne, plus Warhol's Vinyl.

3/16/67 issue: Nico with Jackson Browne, plus Warhol's Bufferin Commercial.

3/30/67 issue: Nico with Jackson Browne.

4/20/67 issue: Nico with Jonathan Talbot.

4/20/67 issue: Mod Party & East Village Fashion Show on April 30.

4/27/67 issue: Same event.

5/4/67 issue.

5/10/67 issue.

5/25/67 issue: Combined ad for the Dom and the Gymnasium.

8/31/67 issue. (I think that chef eventually decamped for Hilly's on 9th Street, if later Hilly's ads are to be believed.)

9/14/67 issue.

10/19/67 issue.

12/14/67 issue.

Just as an aside, here's an ad from the 3/23/67 issue for a "Mixed Bag of Dance Events" at "Arlington Hall," the building's original name.

UPDATE 11/18/2011: Please see the revised and updated post on 1967 ads for the Dom and the Balloon Farm.
