Yes, I have a sick fascination with groupies, which actually predates the publication of Miss Pamela's first memoir...lengthy descriptions of their function in Dave Marsh's early '80s Who biography Before I Get Old (the first "serious" rock book I ever read) set my prurient pre-teen mind a-reelin'. Worth a listen, especially the first side, in which a number of NYC clubs are mentioned.

11/13/69 issue. Had to look this one up in my trusty copy of Marshall Crenshaw's Hollywood Rock: "Hodgepodge of documentary footage of Twiggy, hippies, and cremations. Includes an interview with Mick Jagger and promo films from the likes of the Stones and the Small Faces. Also seen are Jimi Hendrix, the Bee Gees, and Vanilla Fudge."
