Can't sleep, clown will eat me

Just yesterday I was wondering whether this ad foretold of a new use for the Electric Circus site:

My buddy in rock venue blogging Corry suggested it might have been the type of joint where Marilyn Chambers and Andrea True could hone their nightclub acts in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.  But the mystery was solved in the very next issue I perused, and it turns out I was somewhat correct about its Electric Circus connections.  This one deserves its own post, though only future issues will reveal how successful the venture ultimately was.  9/5/74 "Scenes" column excerpt:

If you pitched this as a movie, it would be rejected as too unrealistic. To quote Andrea True, we need more, more, more.

You didn't mention that it became Plato's Retreat which was all 'erotic' and no rock! Until its closure, Jerry Brandt didn't return to rock. But whe Plato's Died, Jerry opened the Ritz on 11th street in the former Latin Club. Its still a rock club today.

Wasn't the first Plato's Retreat located in the former Continental Baths space under the Ansonia Hotel?

Yes, and the Terrace Ballroom
is in the Ansonia somehow!
Check it out on google maps for yourself!
Riverside Plaza Hotel was at the Ansonia Hotel or next door perhaps?
