Fantastic as always. If you link to the Hawkwind article on 12-20-73 (I had no idea they played America in '73), the UA publicist mentions how she is trying to attract fanzine writers. this has to be a pretty early reference to what at the time was a fairly obscure activity--a pretty sharp publicist there.
Too bad that Hawkwind was incomprehensible to Americans. I saw them (in '78 or so), and while they had a sort of punky prog charm, how they ever sold a record is beyond me.
Lemmy talks about his North American touring experiences with them--and of getting sacked by them after a Toronto gig--in the "Lemmy" doc. But apparently that stuff went down in '75, not '73.
